Officially Employed!

So, the sarcastic vampiress is officially an employee of the very awesome Land To Air! This makes

for very happy vampiresses! My boss, Jason had been asking me questions for the past like three

weeks that indicated to me that he really wanted me to work there. I kept wondering if I was

going to be able to stay or if I would have to say good bye to all the people I have come to know

over the past six weeks. So today when I was getting ready to leave for home I told Jason thank

you for letting me intern with you. I have had lots of fun and some great experience. He was like

what? So I told him again, "Thank you for letting me intern here with you." He was like "what are

you talking about? You are coming to work next week." I was sort of shocked actually. I say sort

of because yesterday He told me that he wanted me to stay but he wasn't sure how things were

going to go and when I would be able to start officially. So when he told me i was coming to work

next week I was like huh? He was like didn't Tom tell you? My answer was of course, no. Tom is

the director of the program I was in. Jason then said, "Well merry Xmas to you then. You are

working for me if you want." In my head I went, "Well duh!" "Yes of course I want to work for

you." However out loud I was like Really? Thank you! So yes, I'm extremely happy that i finally

have a job and it's one i love too. No more sitting around the house for me, I'm a working woman

now. LOL!
For those of you that don't know what Land To Air is, it's a shuttle service that takes and

brings people to and from the airport. It's my job to answer the phones and find out what there

needs are and to take their reservations to travel to and from the airport. If they want to pay

with a credit card over the phone, I take all of their cc information and enter it into the

system which sends them an e-mail with their receipt, tickets to print out and confirmation

number in it. If the passenger isn't able to print out their tickets then it's my job to make

sure they get printed out so that the drivers have the tickets ready for the passengers. I know

it may sound easy but it isn't always. Sometimes you have to deal with angry passengers or you

have to repeat yourself a number of times to some of the passengers and it makes you feel like a

broken record. LOL! But as I stated above, I love my job and i'm very very happy I got hired!

Well, I'm tired so I think that I am going to close for now and continue when I wake up again.

Good morning, I'm finally ready to write again. I have been awake for a number of hours now but

figured other things were more important like reading a fanfic entitled, Heir To Prince Manner. I

decided to pick that one up again later since I got a bit bored with it, shhhh, don't tell, I

rarely get bored reading a HP fanfic.

So, it's Xmas Eve day. I hope that everyone has a good Xmas and that you get everything you ask

for this year. As for me? Well, I'm doing not much of anything at all. Tonight I will go and sing

as I do every year and then tomorrow for Xmas day I shall go to a pot luck dinner with Deborah. I

am making Little smokies in Bar-B-cue sauce and i'm hoping I can run to the grocery store some

time today to grab some of those mini crescent rolls and make some little miniature pigs in a

blanket. I think that will be enough to bring. The thing is there is no set theme and we never

know what kind of food everyone is bringing until we get there.
I had two other choices as for what to do for Xmas but both of those fell through as well. My

adopted mother is having Xmas Eve at her house and my brothers and nieces are all going to be

there but as every year goes, I don't have a way there. I have a way to get to the cities as I

get free rides to and from the airport being that I work for Land To Air but getting to mom's

house from the airport is another matter altogether. There is The North Star which is a train

that would get me as far as Big Lake and someone would have come to get me from there but I'm

ashamed to say I don't know how to get to the station from they airport as I haven't done that

route but once and that was with Vampy and he's got other plans this evening. I will call my

mom's house at least to say merry Xmas to them all anyway and that will be ok I hope. I know that

they all really wanted me to come home but I just couldn't make it work.

Well anyhow, this entry is long enough and i have some household stuff I need to do so I will say

good bye for now. I'll try to write again as soon as I can.
