Drivers and Pigeons and Wrestling, Oh My!

Don't judge me unless you know me. Don't underestimate me unless you've challenged me. Don't talk about me unless you've talked to me.

Unless you have watched me in action or have asked me questions about what I'm actually capable of, don't say things when yu have no idea what you are talking about. you have irritated me beyond belief and right now I don't know whether to cry or scream. Both I think. I may hnot be like you but I'm sure as hell not stupid, blind, but far from being stupid.
Don't ever talk down to me, I absolutely hate when others talk down to me as if I were a small child. You are lucky I don't go to Jason with this, and do you want to know why I won't go to Jason with this? Because i don't want to seem as if I am starting trouble however, if you ever treat me like you did today, I will go to him. The next time yu need tickets printed out, do it yourself. I'm only good enough to talk to when you need something. It's Lily, i need a ticket printed out. Lily, we need schedules printed out to go up to the airport. Lily, this passenger wants to buy a Grey Hound ticket, can you help him/her with it? Learn to do it yourself. I work here yes but I am not your bloody slave.

I'd like to apologize for the above rant. That rant was about something that happened at work the week before last and it irritated me beyond words. Let's just say a certain couple of drivers got under my skin and i should have never allowed it to get me as angry as it did. But you all know how it goes, when you need to get something off your chest, you write about it or tell the person off that made you so upset. I prefer to write as it doesn't cause trouble. The person will never read this so i'm not worried in the least. I must admit i feel a bit better having gotten it all out though.
This next part came from something that really happened at work. Jason and I were in tears almost laughing at poor Terry's plight. This story took place about three weeks ago I do believe. I would have written about it sooner but I totally forgot about it until I came across this document. This comes from an e-mail that Jason wrote too all of the Land To Air staff...
Begin story...
Today, Lily and I are going crazy on phones, as well as getting payroll done – so we needed a laugh.
Preston and Terry went out to van for charter and I heard Preston yell something about a pigeon, then Terry came in and said “do you know how much fun it is to catch a pigeon. Apparently, a pigeon boarded the van and was chased for several minutes before the driver caught the pigeon and released it. We are considering shooting The Birds – Mankato. Beware of the crazed pigeons.

At Land to Air Express we have acquired a family/school/gaggle/flock of Pigeons.
Two days ago, when in the front office, Lily exclaimed “what did he just say?” (there were two drivers out in front getting the shuttles ready for a private charter).
Lily continues “I think that he said he had to catch a pigeon”.
I laughed it off and shook my head. Of course she had misheard…or HAD SHE?
Then, moments later Terry, one of the drivers comes in and says “do you know how much fun it is to catch a pigeon?” Terry continued to tell us how he chased the pigeon around the inside of the shuttle, finally caught it and threw it out the door (there were feathers to prove it – but I was laughing to hard to take a picture).
Today – he added to the story (Lily and I are a little teary eyed in a good way)
“Man, I was getting ready for the charter, sat down in the drivers seat did my paperwork, started the van, looked in the rear view mirror, and a pigeon was sitting on the seat rest behind me staring at me.”
Need to interrupt and tell you if this was me, I would have evacuated the vehicle and probably jumped into traffic.

“…the partner pigeon was sitting on the sidewalk staring into the open doorway.”
This is a true story! You all know that I am a story teller, but hand raised ..this is serious. How much do we charge a pigeon!?

As you know, we have a family of pigeons living amongst us as LTA.
In order to make them welcome, we have named them and Lily wanted me to let you know - their names are:
Patty, Pete & Polly Pigeon
Patty is a bit territorial – so it is best not to look her in the eye, if she flies at you – bark like a dog or screech like an Eagle – she’ll fly away. Pay no attention to the cameras, we will not put this on America’s Funniest Home videos.

I was the one who named Patty and Pete Pigeon, Jason named Polly. Yeah i know we at Land To Air are a bit strange but we do have fun and love to laugh on a daily basis. I couldn't have picked a better place to do my internship. I couldn't have asked for a better boss.
It has been a bvery very hot and long week. Our temps were in the high nineties with heat indecies in the hundreds. This is not noral for minnesota and yet it was so. Yesterday the AC at work decided it had had enough of working and quit on us making the office almost unbearable. The poor passengers kept commenting on how hot it was and I felt bad because there was nothing we could do. Barb left a note for Jason but he won't get it until tomorrow I'm thinking that is if he goes in. Jason was in Jamaica all last week and was supposed to return last night. I did text him today and he asked me if I would keep the phones for one more night so I said sure. I'm so extremely tired and I think that when I give the phones back, I'm going to sleep for some time to come. LOL! Either that or I may have a few Long Island ice teas. No, I need to work Monday, although Mike says I should ask for it off. I'm tempted, believe me I'm tempted.
I have gotten back into watching WWE, RAW is awesome! I'm not sure if i can get back into watching Smackdown but I'm amused by RAW. I like John Cena, he's probably my favorite on there right now. CM Punk's cool too. AJ amuses me, she is one of the Divas on RAW. Vickie Garero annoys me to know end with her "excuse me" thing. She makes me want to go through the Screen and lay the smackdown on her candy ass. :P. It's been so long since i have watched it, I used to watch it religiously, now I don't know many on there but i know a few who are still on there. My absolute favorite guy is no longer there, Stone Cold Steve Austin. That man rocked my socks. Hahaha!
Well, this is certainly long enough so I will post it and maybe go try to catch a few zees. We'll see. I need to write about something but right now I'm to drained to do so. I know that when I do my emotions will run high and I don't wish to feel emotionally drained as well as physically drained right now.
I'll write again soon...
